Since 1998, Volkswagen’s Time Asset has given staff at its German locations the opportunity to be more flexible in their working lives. Time credits and bonus payments are invested in a capital fund and later converted back into a time credit for early retirement.
At the end of 2009, Volkswagen AG and 22 other entities in the Group organized their company pensions through a pension fund managed in trust by Volkswagen Pension Trust e.V. a total of €1,983 million has been contributed to the pension fund since it was set up in July 2001.
